Kanika, a postdoctoral researcher on the BioSCOPE team, received the Gérard de Soete Thesis Award from the French Combustion Society for her work conducted at the PC2A laboratory in Lille, under the supervision of Luc Sy Tran and Laurent Gasnot. Her dissertation is titled: “Combustion of New Biofuels: A Study of the Formation of Oxygenated Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (OPAHs) and Fine Soot Particles (<10 nm).”
He was presented with this award during the 2026 François Lacas Conference for Doctoral Students in Combustion, which took place in Rouen in March 2026
