Fabiola was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the largest city in the southern hemisphere. She has always been interested in natural sciences. During high school, she participated in an international competition for young physicists and her team won a silver medal. She graduated as a chemical engineer from the Polytechnic School of the University of Sao Paulo with a double degree from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Industries Chimiques (ENSIC), France. At the time of her studies in France, she worked as an intern in Total Energies R&D facilities using molecular dynamics and COSMO-RS to support the formulation of additives to automobilist and maritime fuels and lubricants. She was also an intern at Braskem and worked in the business development for new renewable chemicals, organizing the clients’ portfolio and the technical economic evaluations for the biobased-PET technology. In October 2021, she joined the BioScope Team as a Ph.D. student, her research is dedicated to the development of an automatic generation of kinetic data to improve the accuracy of fuel oxidation modeling. During her free time, Fabiola enjoys traveling, trying dishes from around the world and visiting art museums.
